First Try on Bumbo!!!

Few days ago, Mummy tried to asked Janelle to sit on the bed. Mummy found that Janelle can sit upright quite well. So today, Mummy let Janelle try to sit on the Bumbo that Gu Gu bought. Well, Janelle really sit very well!!! Too bad that Janelle can't take solid food yet, if not it will be very ideal to use it while feeding Janelle.

Mummy's Birthday on 26th June 09

Yesterday was Mummy's birthday!!! Daddy bought a chocolate cake from Bengawan Solo for Mummy. When Mummy went to work, her colleagues celebrated with her. They bought a mango fruit cake for Mummy. After work, Daddy brought Mummy out for dinner with Nai Nai, Gu Gu and Grand Aunt. After dinner, we went back home and chit chat. Janelle was so hungry and sleepy. Mummy feed Janelle immediately once reached home. After milk, Janelle just fell asleep. At about 10pm+, everyone was tired and it was bed time for Daddy & Mummy!!!

Good news, Janelle is recovering from her cough and flu! Mummy intend to bring Janelle for the 5in1 jab on next wed night if everything is smooth!!!

5in1 Vaccination Postponed!!!

Haha, Mummy asked Janelle to learn to sit by herself!!!

Poor Janelle, got to be feed with medicine again!!!

Mummy took childcare leave today to bring Janelle for her jab. But due to Janelle slight cough and flu, the jab need to be postponed till Janelle gets well. Dr Loke asked Mummy to continue to feed Janelle with the flu and cough syrup and also give Janelle the nasal decongestant drop too. For less than 5 mins, Mummy still got to pay for consultation fee!!! Omg, Mummy was saying that nowadays $ fly away very fast!!! Haha!!!

3 Months Old

Janelle is exactly 3 months old todae!!! Thing just happened so fast! It just seems that Mummy had just given birth to Janelle not long ago. Janelle is becoming more and more intelligent and naughty as day goes by. Yesterday when Daddy disturb her by taking away her pacifier, she didn't want to look at Daddy!!! Janelle is angry with Daddy!!! So cute!!! Janelle finally gave in to Daddy after coaxing for about 5 mins. Janelle started to smile at Daddy. If not she will just turn her head away whenever Daddy called her.

False Alarm!!!

On 20th June 09 (Friday) nite, mummy came to fetch Janelle from Ah Ma hse after her work. Ah Ma told Mummy tat Janelle seems to be having slight fever. Mummy immediately took thermometer to take Janelle temperature. Mummy tested 3 times with reading of 37.7, 38.0 & 38.2 degree celsius respectively! Quickly Ah Gong droved us to the Baby and Child Clinic in Tampines immediately. Mummy was praying hard that we could make it on time to the clinic as it close at 8.30pm.

When we reached the clinic, Janelle was asked to take her temperature again. Amazing! The temperature was only 37 degree celsius!!! But still we continue to see the PD. PD said that maybe today weather was quite hot and she might had stayed in a room that's warm and haven't cool down her body temperature when Mummy go and fetch her. Thus, resulted in the false alarm. Anyway, Janelle was still given medicine for the fever in of emergency.

When Janelle reached home, Mummy took her temperature again. This time the reading is 37.5 degree celsius. Mummy was thinking maybe the clinic got use the thermometer probe cover thus reading might be slightly lower. Mummy said it's ok to spend $ for the false alarm as long Janelle is fine!!!

Daddy's Birthday on 9th June 09

It's Daddy's birthday on 9th June 09! Mummy bought a Mango Cake from Rive Gauche to celebrate with daddy. As daddy was working on that day, we wait for daddy to back to cut cake etc then follow by dinner at Marche (Vivo Cty).

By the time we reach Marche, it was already 9pm+. Janelle was tired and fell asleep not long when we reach the restaurant. We wanted to take family photo but can't as Janelle was asleep. Never mind, there will be a lot of chances for us to do so. It was a late nite for us. We reached home about 11pm+. It was an enjoyable nite at Vivo City. It's Janelle first time there!!!

Life with Princess Janelle

Mummy now fully agreed with Auntie Stacy that the most "luxury" time is during pregnant stage! Life had totally changed after Janelle was born. Everyday Mummy had to chase after time. Almost every morning, Mummy got to woke up at 6am+ (Before Janelle wake up) in order for me to do housework. Once Janele woke up, Mummy got to stop all work and concentrate on Janelle!!! If Mummy don't carry Janelle, Janelle will cry non-stop. First week was a bit tough for Mummy cause she was still trying to "catch" Janelle's style. After 1 week, things got better! Mummy knew that if she still want to do her stuffs, she can do so before Janelle wake up or after Janelle's bath time!!! So Mummy now got to start accomodate with Janelle instead of vice versa.

Janelle Full Month Celebration on 19th April 09 (Sunday)

It was a busy day for us!!! I woke up atc5am+ to prepare myself and Janelle. We were still at Mum hse the nite before. Hubby came over at 9am+, We went to temple (pray to grandparents), In-Law Hse and back to Mum hse again and be back to our own hse by 11.30am as the catering will be there to set up at this time! Can't imagine how rush and fast I was driving on tat day. We had 2 sessions (Afternoon and Evening) of buffet for relatives and friends as we are unable to cater for all of them into 1 session. The crowd will be too huge for us to handle!!! Didn't manage to take much pictures on that day.

This will be the first night that Janelle will be staying at her own hse with Daddy and Mummy. She was a bit cranky during nite time. Sis, mum and relatives were all ard to coax her to bed. She finally slept at about 10pm+ and that's also when all the guests left. Hubby and I were able to settle down finally. It was a hetic and busy day for us!!!

Planning for Janelle Full Month Celebration

Stay at the hopsital was really boring. Finally I was discharged on the 4th day after my birth. When back to Mum's hse to do my confinement. Mum, Hubby, Uncle Hock and wife came to fetch me and Janelle.

When I reached home, Mum started to cook confinement food for me to eat. I was not allowed to touch tap water, wash hair, drink plain water etc. A lot of rules and regulations to follow!!! How I hope that confinement period will be over soon.

For the first 2 weeks, my wound was painful. I still remembered that I walked like an old lady!!! Discussed with hubby that we will distribute Bengawan Solo vouchers instead. It's easier for us and our guests. We had also decided to order Neo Garden Catering. The date for Janelle's Full Month was fixed on 19th April 09 (Sunday).

Somethink funny to share about Janelle. She knows how to shake her head to reject her pacifier when she was about 7 days old!!! When we first saw it, we all laugh loudly at her!! Omg, she's so cute!!!

The day when Princess Janelle was brought to this World!

Well, this blog might seems a bit late as Janelle is now reaching 3 months!!!Let me update some info on the day when Princess Janelle was brought to this world.

I can still remember very clearly on 17th March 09 (Week 37), I went to see my Gynae and was asked immediately to stop work cause my 2 legs were too swollen. And we had decided on a c-section date. It was scheduled to be on 24th March 09, Tuesday afternoon. So I had to start my maternity leave from 19th March 09 onwards cause my Gynae had given me MC for 18th & 19th of March 09.

On 22nd March 09 early morning, I had bleeding and mild contractions!!! I was panicking and etc. Called my sis and gynae at about 6+am!!! I still remembered that I should be going for my weekly check up on next day. Gynae asked me to go down to his clinic at 8.30am. My hubby, sis and Mum went with me to the clinic. After seeing the Gynae, he decided that go to do C-Sect this afternoon! Was not able to try natural birth. Was advised by the nurse to reach the hospital about 10am. Since East Shore hospital was just around the clinc, we decided to go to the hospital straight away.

When i reached the hospital, i was asked to take a rest first and changed etc since the C-Sect is scheduled at about 1+pm. I asked my hubby, sis and mum to go home first since it's still early. Luckily I asked my sis to leave with me her laptop so that I can watch online movie. Times really fly!!! At about 12.45pm, the nurse came and wheeled my down to the operating theatre. Was a bit panic etc and there was no labour pains for me at all. Things happen really like a dream! I remembered talking to Dr Ernest and Dr Sandy, but last than 15mins, I felt asleep. That's when Princess Janelle was brought to this world!!! Here's some info of her.

When I was awake, I heard Dr Ernest telling me that I had given birth to a chubby gal. When I reached the ward, I asked hubby how heavy is Janelle. I got a shocked when he told me. It's unbelievable! 4.49kg??? I asked again as I thought I heard wrongly about it. And she said 4.49kg again. Haha, I had given birth to such a "huge" baby! Luckily I go for C-Sect and not natural birth, if not I really can't imagine the labour pain which I had to go through.

First Blog for Janelle

Well, I had been thinking whether should I create a blog for Janelle. At last, I did it today!!! Hope that I will be able to continue to post stuffs about Janelle regularly cause recently had been busy with work. Even weekends got to be at showflat. Kind of felt gulity that I had to leave Janelle with my mummy even on weekend. But no choice, got to work cause need $$$. Think I'm going to explore myself to enhance Janelle's blog!!! Look out for more stuffs ba!!!
