6 Months Old!

Janelle turns 6 months old today! Wow! That's fast! Janelle had started semi solids at 4 months plus. To-date, Janelle had started to have porridge. Ah Ma almost everyday(afternoon) will cook porridge for Janelle. Mummy had just asked Ah Ma to increase 1 more feed for porridge in the evening. So that around 8pm+ 9pm, Mummy can give Janelle milk before bedtime. A lot of people commented that Janelle had grow well. All thanks to Ah Ma effort!

Yesterday, Janelle didn't go for first swim caused Janelle was having flu on Saturday. Ah Ma said that it's not advisable to bring Janelle go swimming. Mummy was so dissappointed. Mummy had prepared Janelle's swimming gear just for this day. But was called off last min. Mummy didn't get to meet up with Singapore Motherhood Forum East Side mummies too! But Mummy said never mind, there's always another chance for them to meet up again. Mummy said she will arrange another time for Janelle to go swimming again!

Stuffs from BabyMallOnline!

Finally, the stuffs that Mummy had bought from BabyMallOnline had arrived today! Mummy was so happy and excited! Mummy said that overall the quality of the stuffs are quite good. Just 1 item which Mummy don't seem satisfied with it. That's the track shoe that Yi Yi had ordered for Baby Matthew. 2 items that Mummy had ordered are out of stock thus they refunded the amount back to Mummy. Auntie Sharon was satisfied with her purchase too. Auntie Sharon still tell Mummy to include her again if they want to order some more stuffs from BabyMallOnline. Auntie Lynda wasn't around today to witness the "opening ceremony". But Auntie Lynda's instinct is so accurate. Before she went on leave today, yesterday she still told Mummy that maybe the stuffs will be arriving. True enough, the stuffs arrived today.

Swimming Gear for Janelle!

Mummy had bought swimming neck float and swim diaper (re-usable) for Janelle. Mummy said it is time for Janelle to go for the first swim! Mummy had arranged to meet up Singapore Motherhood March Mummies (East side) on 21st Sept 09. But due to another function, Mummy said that we can only join them later in the afternoon, about 3pm. This timing will be suitable for Janelle for go for a swim! Thus, eventhough we can't join them for afternoon bbq, we can join them 4 chit chatting and swimming session!

Janelle still short of swimming costume! Mummy wanted to get 2 pcs swimming costume for Janelle but to no avail. But Mummy said it's fine. Without swimming costume, Janelle still can go for a swim. Mummy decided to wear the swim diaper and a top for Janelle during the swim! Mummy is looking forward to the gathering as she is so excited to meet up all the other mummies and babies and Janelle's "Virgin" swim!

Serene Yi Yi had bought a set of rompers for Janelle. Thanks Serene Yi Yi! Janelle felt so blessed as everyone adored Janelle so much! Everyone in the family will buy stuffs for Janelle whenever they saw something that is nice! Mummy commented that Janelle drawers are full with stuffs, especially clothes! Janelle received new clothes almost every month! Mummy said Janelle came out at the right time caused currently she's the youngest baby in the family thus everyone loved her so much!

Speech & Drama Trial Lesson at Stage and Such

Mummy took leave today and brought Janelle for speech and drama trial lesson at Stage and Such. This trial lesson was organised by one of the mummies in Singapore Motherhood Forum (March 2009 Mums). Thanks the mummy for the hard work to source for it!

Stage and Such is located at The Central, Soho 1. Before the lesson starts at 2pm, a few Mummies (including my Mummy and Auntie Lynda) had arranged to meet up for lunch at The Central, Burger King @ 12.30pm. At about 11am+, Mummy and Janelle set off to pick up Auntie Lynda and Hony Yi. We reached The Central at about 12.15pm. It's our first meeting up with forum mummies. We had never seen the Mummies and Babies before! Mummy said that it wasn't difficult to identify those mummies as it's rather rare to find mummies carrying babies go shopping on a weekday! And some more the location is at The Central! That's mummy's logic!

After lunch, mummies proceed to the school located on the 5th floor. It was a nice and quiet environment! There's even jacuzzi, swimming pool and gym etc located there! The teacher said that if Mummy signed up as member, we are able to use the facilities there! Even can have birthday bash over there!

Before the lesson starts, all babies are being placed on the floor mat to socialise and play around first. And during this, Janelle had a "kiss" from Hong Yi when socialising! Omg! After 15 mins or so, lesson start with singing of "Hello" song! After singing song, teacher read a story (The huge hungry caterpillar) to all babies! Follow by, it's hear, touch and feel session! This is the session which can make some mummies don't really like it. But my mummy felt that should just let Janelle touch whatever the teacher introduced. First was shaking of uncooked rice in a container. This doesn't seems to attract Janelle much. After 5 mins, the 2nd item was to let baby touch whipped cream! Last on the item was to play coloured ice (made from fruit colouring) and "paint" it on a paper! Janelle enjoyed painting the most! Most of the mummies removed babies clothes in order not to dirty the clothes! As Janelle enjoyed this item the most, she left a lot of clour stain on her hand, face and legs! Before the lesson ends, we had a singing songs session again. After the lesson, teacher asked mummy whether will she be interested to sign up for package. Mummy felt that Janelle is still a bit too young to attend it cause Janelle doesn't really enjoyed the story telling session and singing song session. Maybe when Janlle a few months down the road will be a better time to enroll Janelle for it.

After the lesson, Janelle was very tired. Janelle had a short nap. Mummy and Auntie Lynda decided to bring Janelle and Hong Yi their office to visit their colleague caused they didn't see Janelle and Hong Yi for a long time! We stayed there for about 30 mins caused Janelle and Hong Yi were tired from the lesson and started to get cranky! About 4pm+, Mummy sent Auntie Lynda and Hong Yi go home. After that, Mummy didn't bring Janelle home straight away! Mummy still brought Janelle to Lilian Yi Yi house to collect something. Mummy still stayed there and chit chat with grand auntie till about 6pm then bring Janelle home. It was a long and tiring day for Janelle! Janelle fell asleep once Janelle reached home!

Yi Yi is back from Bangkok!!!

Today, Mummy and Ah Ma brought Janelle to Changi Airport Terminal 1 to fetch Yi Yi home. Time really flies! On Wednesday, we just went to sent Yi Yi to Bangkok and it just seems like happened only yesterday! Well, Janelle is sure that Yi Yi will buy something for Janelle. Hehe, Yi Yi must be saying that Janelle is so thick-skinned. True enough, Janelle got 1 set of clothes cum some cute "underwear"! Janelle loved it so much! Thanks Yi Yi for the stuffs!

Something happened to Janelle again! Janelle's left hand seems to be twisted! Omg! Mummy said how come Janelle always seems to injured her hands! Mummy suspected that Janelle must had flipped too fast and injured herself when she lied down on her bed this afternoon. But this time round, it doesn't seems as serious as the previous time caused Janelle still able to move her hand abit and doesn't cry loudly as compared to previous time. But Mummy is still very worried. Mummy wanted to rush Janelle to KKH immediately but was adviced by Ah Ma to wait and see for another half an hour time! Mummy was a bit hesistant about it. But true enough, about half an hour, Janelle recovered while having her milk! When Janelle was drinking her milk, Janelle tried to lift her left hand high up and let out a loud cry! After that cry, she was as agile as before and doesn't cry when Mummy touched her hand. Finally, Mummy and Daddy felt relieved! Mummy commented that Janelle always met with incidents!
